Ben shares touching stories of helping others to not only inspire but also offer insight that can improve our daily life and our work environment. New Leadership: Why You Matter

Ben brings home the importance of pursuing a bucket list, not only for your own wellbeing, but also for your career and for those around you. • Learn how to implement tiers of accountability around personal goals.
  • Identify the most important dreams in their life and take actionable steps toward them.
  • Leverage their purpose to propel their performance.
Rethinking Mental Health

Ben is a mental health advocate who believes that all humans have ups and they have downs. He believes the stigma around mental illness can be broken through open, honest conversations. However, the onus is not on the 1 in 5 who struggle with mental health to break the stigma, the responsibility falls on all of us.

By showing how his vulnerabilities have become his strengths, Ben gives others the courage to talk about their internal battles. He shares the tools that help him cope with the stresses of life and emphasizes that it is ok to reach out for help.

Attendees will:

  • Increase resilience, lower stress and feel equipped to manage the ups and downs of life.
  • Build their own ‘Mental Health Toolkit’ of easy to implement practices that increase wellbeing during times of anxiety and burnout.

Speaker Biography

In his first year of university, Ben Nemtin was unexpectedly hit with depression and it forced him to drop out and seclude himself from the world. In an attempt to find purpose, he made a bucket list with three of his friends and decided that for every bucket list item they accomplished, they would help a complete stranger accomplish something on their list. They borrowed an RV, bought a second-hand camera and hit the road for a two-week road trip to tackle their list of impossible dreams and help others.

10 years later and 91 goals achieved, the two-week road trip has lasted over a decade. And the list of items that Ben once thought were impossible, have somehow been checked off the list. From his journey, Ben came to the realization that anyone can do anything and he has seen first hand how this belief changes how people make decisions and, ultimately, how it can change lives. As a result, Ben’s goal is to instill this belief in people and prove that everyone is capable of the impossible.

From playing basketball with President Obama to having a beer with Prince Harry, from reuniting a father and son after seventeen years to surprising a young girl with a much-needed bionic arm—Ben’s bucket list quest has inspired millions to thrive personally and professionally. Ben has been featured on The Today Show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, CNN, FOX, and NBC News. President Obama called Ben and The Buried Life “inspiration for a new generation” and Oprah declared their mission “truly inspiring.”

An acclaimed keynote speaker, Ben has headlined business conferences and Fortune 100 leadership teams around the world, garnering standing ovations from AIG, Anthem, Amazon, FedEx, Harvard, Microsoft, Verizon, and more. Ben is recognized as one of the World’s Best Motivational Speakers as well as World’s Top Organizational Culture Thought Leaders by Global Gurus (2019, 2020). Currently, Ben and his friends are filming The Buried Life documentary film.
